Finally, shipping company Young Brothers Ltd. has given $250 each to the campaigns of Chang and Tsuji.
Hawaii state lawmakers have accepted a combined $10,077 in campaign donations from corporations, according to reports filed with the state Campaign Spending Commission.
For the current election period, state Sen. Josh Green pulled $3,977 in campaign donations from three companies.
The Hawaii Management Alliance Association gave Green’s campaign $1,000 last Feb. 10 and $2,177.11 on April 14.
The West Hawaii senator also received $500 from AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals and $300 from the biotechnology company Genentech.
Altria Client Services, the lobbying arm of the company formerly known as Philip Morris, doled out $35,000 to campaign coffers statewide. Big Island legislators who received funds include the campaigns of state Sens. Gil Kahele and Malama Solomon, both of whom accepted $1,000.
The company also gave $500 each to Reps. Cindy Evans, Faye Hanohano, Jerry Chang and Bob Herkes.
AstraZeneca also gave $250 to Herkes’ campaign, and Genentech gave $200 to Nakashima. All of the Big Island’s legislators are Democrats.
A motorcycle rights nonprofit, the Street Bikers United Hawaii, gave $250 to Tsuji and $400 to Chang, who is a well-known motorcycle enthusiast.
Finally, shipping company Young Brothers Ltd. has given $250 each to the campaigns of Chang and Tsuji.
